I had the privilege to meet Joan only shortly before her passing but it was clear from the way she spoke, smiled, and handled the difficulties she faced that she was a one-of-a-kind human. Her family and friends made it clear that she was a light of joy and hope in the lives of many. I am sad to hear that she has passed and will be hoping and praying and thinking about her family.  

I am so saddened to learn of Joanie's passing.  She was a sweet, enthusiastic and positive person that brought joy to all in her sphere of friendship.  She did so much for her community, especially for the underprivileged children in her community.  My most sincere condolences to her husband, Frederick, and children.

My heart is heavy with the news of Joanie, Both Fred and Joanie help not only myself but my family thur a very difficult time in our lives. I  will never forget Joanies kindness and that beautiful smile. She always had a way of making you feel like you were family. she will be missed by all that were lucky enough to meet her. 

We will miss you tons. Especially yours and Fred's visits at Halloween.  Much prayers and love to the family. She was and is an amazing lady. God bless you all.
