Kayla grew up in Thornton and spent her early childhood years camping, playing sports, and making friends. She graduated from Horizon High School in 2011. Kayla worked as an early childhood educator as well as an aide for the elderly in several retirement communities.
Kayla could light up any room with just her smile. She touched many lives with her fun, caring, and loving spirit.
Kayla spent the last four years being a devoted mommy to her son, Kobe.
Kayla is survived by her son, Kobe Lee Harris; her parents, Scott and Teresa Kelly; her brothers, William Sibert and Austin Kelly; grandparents, Allan Sewald, Jill Smith, and Vera (Jay) Kelly; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her niece, Brooklyn Sibert. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jerry Kelly and Robert Smith; and her cousin, Rick Greenwald.
A private memorial service will be held in Kayla’s honor. Kayla will be laid to rest at Olinger Highland Cemetery, Thornton.
