Louis D. Seybold of Arvada, Colorado retired Avionics Technician died on November 4, 2018. He was 90 years old. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5 – 7pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7080 Independence St, Arvada, Colorado. Interment will be at Olinger Highland Cemetery following services.
He was born June 6, 1928, in Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated from Norfolk High School where he was involved in band and choir. He then graduated from De Forest Radio and TV school in 1948.
Louis served in the Navy as an Avionics Technician at Alameda, California and San Diego Naval Air Stations and aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Essex from 1950 to 1954, during the Korean War.
On January 12, 1952, he married Elaine Ann Highby, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She preceded him in death. On February 1, 1977 he married Ruth Burnham Jones.
Louis was a retired Naval Aviator aboard the USS Essex and also a retired Avionics Technician. He was first in the private sector and the for the original Frontier Airlines and also worked for Continental Airlines. He had worked as an Avionics Tech at Aircraft Radio and Acc. Co. at Stapleton and at Air Radio Inc. at the Jefferson County Airport. His hobbies were flying and sail boating. Louis also liked to travel and was a member of the Aspen Leaf Winnebago Travel Club.
He is survived by his son, Michael, daughter Julie Dexter, step-daughter Candice Snow, step-son Casey Jones and four step grandchildren.
