Maria Isabel Perez Vega

Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend whose warmth touched everyone around her. She is survived by her three children, Juan Manuel Varela Jr., Evelyn Varela, and Eddie Fabian Varela; her four beloved granddaughters, Aliya, Ruby, Olivia, and Maya; her father, Rutilo Zacharias Perez; her sisters, Rosy, Blanca, Gloria, and Laura; and her brother, Manuel. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Vega.

Maria will be remembered for her contagious laugh that could light up any room, her silliness, her loving heart, and the deep care she showed to those around her. She had a special way of making others feel welcomed and loved, and the memories she created with family and friends will be cherished forever.

Earlier in her career, Maria worked at Welby Gardens, where she loved being surrounded by flowers and the sense of community it brought her. Later, she became a CNA, a role she truly cherished because it allowed her to help and care for others in meaningful ways.

Although Maria faced many difficult health challenges in recent years, she continued to hold onto her personal faith in Jehovah and the love she had for her family. Her strength, kindness, and enduring spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A viewing will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Olinger Highland Mortuary.

Maria Isabel Perez Vega, de 65 años, de Thornton, Colorado, falleció inesperadamente el lunes 4 de mayo de 2026.

Maria fue una madre, abuela, hermana, hija y amiga amorosa que siempre llenaba de alegría a quienes la conocían. Le sobreviven sus tres hijos, Juan Manuel Varela Jr., Evelyn Varela y Eddie Fabian Varela; sus cuatro queridas nietas, Aliya, Ruby, Olivia y Maya; su padre, Rutilo Zacharias Perez; sus hermanas, Rosy, Blanca, Gloria, y Laura; y su hermano, Manuel. Fue precedida en muerte por su madre, Carmen Vega.

Maria será recordada por su risa contagiosa que hacía sonreír a todos, su alegría, su gran corazón y el cariño que mostraba hacia los demás. Tenía una manera especial de hacer sentir bienvenidos y queridos a quienes la rodeaban, y los recuerdos que creó con su familia y amigos serán atesorados para siempre.

Durante los primeros años de su carrera, Maria trabajó en Welby Gardens, donde disfrutaba estar rodeada de flores y del sentido de comunidad que encontraba allí. Más adelante, se convirtió en asistente de enfermería (CNA), una profesión que amaba porque le permitía ayudar y cuidar de otras personas de una manera significativa.

Aunque Maria enfrentó muchos problemas de salud en los últimos años de su vida, continuó aferrándose a su fe personal en Jehová y al amor que tenía por su familia. Su fortaleza, bondad y espíritu permanecerán por siempre en el corazón de quienes la conocieron.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el lunes 18 de Mayo de 2026, de 2:00 p.m. a 5:30 p.m., en Olinger Highland Mortuary.
