surrounded by her loving family in Federal Heights, Colorado.
Born on March 20, 1942, to Josefina and Reyes Talavera, Maria spent her early years in Peña Blanca, Chihuahua, Mexico, amidst her 11 siblings, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. At the tender age of 19, she married Manuel Jesus Chacon, and they were blessed with six beautiful children: Esmeralda, Teresa, Victoria, Reyna, Erick, and Ruby. Tragically, Erick passed away in June 2000, leaving behind five sisters.
In her early teenage years in Peña Blanca, Chihuahua, Mexico, Maria devoted most of her time to working in a family-owned retail store and helping her family manage their farm, caring for animals and tending to crops.
Maria devoted most of her life in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to her children. She was a remarkable mother, centering her life around providing the best possible care for her loved ones while always offering warmth and affection. She took immense pride in her children and the grandchildren she helped raise. Maria had a passion for cooking, constantly exploring different cuisines to delight her family. Her home was a cozy haven, always welcoming, immaculately clean, and organized.
Dancing and music brought her great joy, as did unwinding with her favorite movies and soap operas after a day dedicated to her household. Maria cherished her friendships, particularly enjoying afternoons spent with her neighbor and friend, Chela. Family visits, especially from her siblings, were highlights that she eagerly anticipated.
Maria had a passion for shopping and always made sure to look her best. We will forever remember her as an incredibly stylish woman, always adorned with her favorite jewelry, her blonde hair perfectly styled, and her nails painted a deep red.
She also harbored a deep affection for plants, filling her home with a variety of species that she nurtured with meticulous care. This love and knowledge of plants were something she passionately passed down to her daughters. Additionally, Maria had a fondness for birds, always keeping them as cherished pets.
She was a person of deep faith, devoutly practicing Catholicism.
Maria was deeply loved by everyone around her, and she bestowed upon us a wealth of love and memories that will accompany us until our own passing. Even in her final days, she consistently greeted each of us with a beautiful smile and a welcoming energy that filled us with warmth. To the best mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
