MS Mitchell John Seegmiller was born in Denver, Colorado in 1966. He was one of five children, the fourth, to Kathy and Chris Seegmiller. He was quiet and a humble child who had a caring heart. His mother remembers him as one of her easiest children because he was a very happy-go-lucky boy who didn’t cause a lot of commotion. In 1969, he made his first television debut on Blinky’s Fun Club and was the only one in the family to get a taste of stardom. He was probably the only one who could’ve handled it. This fun and happy child grew into a kind and loving man; always there to have a good time with loved ones.
Although soft-spoken, when he was passionate about something Mitchell made sure to speak up and let everyone know what he was thinking, in a way he knew he would be heard. Mitchell was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need and would never once complain, even if it disrupted the big game. He was always there to offer a helping hand even if it were just a flat tire or an errand to run, he was never put off. Not only was Mitchell an excellent cook, but cooking was something he truly enjoyed doing. He loved to create his own flavors and recipes and in doing so, was able to bring people together to share that with. Nothing made him happier than making someone smile with his delicious food. He loved wildlife and nature and was an avid snake and frog catcher who taught his nephews and nieces the trade. He also had a talent for working with his hands and was quite the carpenter, creating beautiful pieces at his family’s shop. Mitchell also worked as a crisis counselor. His gentle and kind nature allowed him to excel at his job helping people in crisis. He counseled, encouraged, and supported those who needed him. It was working here that he met the love of his life, Pat. They clicked instantly and the rest is history. Mitchell and Pat were married for 12 years and loved each other every single day of those years. Pat’s children and Mitchell were close and he loved them like his own. He was so happy and proud of his family and loved to brag and show them off any chance he got. Mitchell never once stopped being kind, and over the last few years, through good times and bad, he continuously showed compassion and endless love for his family. And for that, we are thankful and grateful for knowing a man like him.
