Norma Jean Shiffer

Norma of Denver, CO passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Longmont, CO. Norma will always be remembered as a mother who loved family, the family she was born into, the family her & Harry created, extended family by marriage & a family of friends.

Norma was born in a small town, O’Neill, NE. At the age of 17 she and a friend moved to the big city of Grand Island where she met the love of her life Harry. After marriage and raising 4 children, Norm entered the workforce, at Ranum High School in the kitchen and then as a teacher's aid; where we are sure she impacted many children with her positive, encouraging & loving manner. Norma retired with Harry where they loved to travel and spend time with their family & friends.

Her infectious laugh will be missed as well as her mottos, one she always ended all of her conversations with “remember out of sight but, never, never out of mind”.

Norma is survived by: daughter Nanette Annibal (Gary) of Longmont, CO; son James Shiffer (Myrna) of Las Vegas, NV. Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and SO many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband Harry, daughter Elaine and son Barry.
