She was a good student who worked in Manhattan after high school. In 1964 she married her husband Fred and began
the busy life of an Army Wife. It is said that it takes a special person to be a military spouse with frequent moves, spousal absences,
and wartime fears. With her sound values and bright personality she thrived in that environment. In 1984 she moved to Colorado and
fell in love with the state. She enjoyed skiing, cooking, bridge and travel. A dedicated ocean cruiser she was always planning the next
venture. Pat was very active at Saint Mark Catholic Church and enjoyed her volunteer efforts. The last years of her life were shortened
by several serious illnesses. While losing strength she remained close to family and a legion of friends. When she knew the fight was over
she decided to transfer to hospice care with a matchless dignity. She passed away quietly at home with family close by. Pat is survived
by her husband, her four children; David, Kimberly, Tom and Kelly, and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her younger brother
Robert and her parents Robert and Elizabeth Beard preceded her in death. She will be interned at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Any remembrance gifts to the Saint Mark Food Bank would have pleased her.
