A lot of people came to your service and reception which showed the love and respect everyone had for you. .  Over these last few years I had time to sit down with you and listen to all your story's of your life . I learned a lot about who you were.  I’ll miss those times but have a lot of memories from it .  Rest in peace Dad or whatever you want to do. Give my love to Mom.

Dear Uncle Ray, I am your great nephew. I am sorry to hear about your passing, but you've lived a strong and wonderful life. You survived the sinking of the Leopoldville because God wanted you to live. You lived for 98 years which is a really long time. We hoped you would've reached the end goal at 100 but unfortunately it wasn't reached. Thank you for the walking duck, Budweiser boy figure and golf ball dog. I couldn't have met you that much but the few times I did there were always funny and exciting. You always had a smile on your face and was always positive, you told all of your stories, and I was always eager to them. Rest in peace Uncle Ray.

 So many memories.  Letting Kim and I put dozens of barrettes in your hair, waking up to the smell of your cooking at 2 a.m. with the sounds of you whistling,  wheelbarrows (when we were in trouble), going to read meters with you, cabin/fishing trips, always making jokes,  tricking Kim into holding dead geese in the dark by their necks ( my favorite) and the smell of Old spice when waking up after you left.  I am so proud to be your Granddaughter.  Thank you for raising my mom ( she truly is the best)! I will always be proud of your love for Our Country and your service. THANK YOU!
Until we meet again.... I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!

I have known Ray for as long as I can remember.  Our family were members of the Sunset Bass Club.  I would see Ray out fishing with my Uncle John Schoeninger all the time.  I've missed visiting with Ray at the American Legion, he always had a joke and laugh that you'd never forget.  Rest in peace Ray, prayers for you and your family.

I will remember Ray from the many conversations we had on all of
our world problems.  His mind was sharp even at 98.  He took what life handed him in stride and was very proud of his armed service time.  I will really mss him, our talks, and his chocolate chip cookies!!
