

Born on July 28, 1954, in Denver Co, Rick was the youngest son of Charles and Delores. From a young age, he developed a passion for music, playing the drums during his childhood. Often mimicking John Bonham of Led Zepplin and playing a flawless rendition of "Wipeout" made famous by the Surfaris. Rick was the drummer for Pink Lincoln, a local band that was the opening act for Freddy Fender in the 70's. Rick enlisted in the United States Navy on November 26, 1973, and served honorably until November 25, 1979. As an aircraft mechanic, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his dedicated service.
After his military service, Rick pursued a career as an auto body technician, applying his skills and attention to detail to restore vehicles to their former glory. He was known for his craftsmanship and commitment to quality work.
Rick was predeceased in death by Parents Charles and Delores, Step Father Melvin, brothers Charles and Arthur, and sister Cheryl. He is survived by daughter Tanya Scott, sister Kathleen Daggett and numerous niece and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday June 25th at 10:00AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery 10201 Grant Street, Thornton Colorado 80229.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local Adult Assisted Living Facility.
Rick will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to freedom, country, and craft.
