Rose had a great love for nature and animals. She went so far as to make friends with the squirrels and even taught one to scratch on her door for peanuts. She loved to be in the mountains and fish with her late husband. She would say it's not fair that the deer and the antelope don't get to play more. She was also very creative and enjoyed making crafts. She made beautiful flower arrangements, knit, and did cross stich.
Rose is survived by her children Thomas Riedel, Fred Riedel, Nancy Lorenzo, Jennie Riedel-Haworth, Donna Head, and Gena Colbert. Seven grandchildren, Michael Joe Lorenzo, Louis Lorenzo, Donnie Hamel, Michael Head, Lisa Scott, Jack Colbert, and Matt Colbert, and four great-grandchildren Olivia Lorenzo, Lucas Lorenzo, Gavin Lorenzo and Jackson Head. Rose is survived by her brother, Robert Halm.
A funeral service for Rose will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, Colorado 80229, followed by a committal service at 2:30 p.m.
