Rudolf P. Stanek (Rudy), of Broomfield Colorado, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather born on January 7, 1936, in New York, New York to the late Paul Stanek and Elizabeth (Jurcak) Stanek passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, in Castle Pines, Colorado.
Rudy grew up in New York City. He served in the Army where he was stationed at the Pentagon. He married the love of his life, Virginia Stanek in 1961. They had two children, Christopher Andrew, and Matthew Paul. After the military he worked for the Phone Company and retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. Later in life Rudy served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary as Division Commander.
Rudy was preceded in death by Virginia Stanek, and Teryn LaPointe. Rudy is survived by a host of family that includes his two sons, Matthew and Christopher, daughter-in-law Sheri Stanek, six grandchildren: Brenden LaPointe, Kevin Stanek, Cameron Stanek, Matthew (Zach) Stanek, Cassandra van Leeuwen, and Breauna Stanek, and seven great grandchildren: Trynden LaPointe, Kalyn La Pointe, Quincy LaPointe, Salvo Stanek, Johanna van Leeuwen, Ryno van Leeuwen and another van Leeuwen due in April.
Services will be held on January 21st. Rosary at 9:30 AM and Memorial service at 10:00 AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary and finally laid to rest next to the love of his life, Virginia Stanek at Mount Olivet Cemetery
