Sheryl K. Young

Sherry was born on July 4, 1952 in Passaic, New Jersey to Theodore and Jane Secola. She attended Berkley Business School and enjoyed her work as an executive secretary. She was married to William Young in 1988 in Colorado.

Sherry was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America and loved her time helping the girls and leaders with many activities including cookie sales and her favorite camping trips.

Sherry lived in Firestone, Colorado with her husband of 33 years. She loved to cross-stich and was active in her church, the Christian Church of Windsor.

She loved to celebrate each and every holiday and birthday. She would answer the phone with a fun holiday greeting, or leave the Happy Birthday song on your voicemail. Sherry is survived by her husband William Young and his children William Young Jr. (Theresa), and Karyn Young, as well as her children, Ted Havelka (Leona), Josh Havelka (Stephanie), Kristen Hilliard (Aaron), and Tom Havelka (Rebecca). Sherry is also survived by her father Theodore Secola (Barbra) and her sister Wendy Gibbons (Robert), niece Casey and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sherry is predeceased by her mother Jane Secola.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 11, 2021 at 1pm at Christian Church of Windsor. Arrangements being handled by Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery.
