

God Fearing, courageous, strong, and a woman of valor are all words that describe Tammye Denise Wade. She transitioned peacefully to her eternal reward on January 7, 2025, where she was reunited with family and loved ones who had passed on before her.
Tammye Denise Wade, the cherished daughter of Bob H. Wade and the late Fannilea Kaye Scott, was born on January 7, 1959, in Denver, Colorado. She inherited a rich legacy of family, faith, and leadership from her parents.
Tammye lived a life marked by dedication and service. She generously opened her heart and home to children in need, serving as a Foster Parent with Kid’s Crossing Foster Care in Colorado Springs, CO. During this time, she provided comprehensive care, ensuring they had access to nutritious meals, a safe and loving shelter, and the necessary medical and mental health support.
Later in life, Tammye discovered her passion for culinary arts. She began her culinary journey in the Denver Public Schools, where she honed her skills while preparing delicious and nutritious meals for children. This experience ignited her passion, leading her to further refine her craft at renowned establishments like Chophouse at Denver International Airport.
At Curavistas Senior Living, Tammye served as Director of the Kitchen, where she demonstrated her dedication to providing nutritious and delicious meals tailored to the unique dietary needs of the residents. A skilled and compassionate chef, she brought joy to others through her culinary creations.
Beyond her professional achievements, Tammye consistently sought to help others. She was deeply involved in ensuring safety and compliance in her culinary roles, earning multiple food safety and management certifications.
Tammye embraced Christianity from a young age. Her faith, centered on Jesus Christ, provided the foundation for her life, guiding her actions and offering solace throughout her journey. Messages of faith, hope, love, and perseverance became the cornerstones of her remarkable life, inspiring those around her.
Tammye was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin. She embodied values of integrity, compassion, and determination, extending her nurturing spirit to all she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannilea Scott, and step-mother, Dorothy J. Wade, and niece Aubrie Wade. Tammye is survived by her father, Bob H. Wade; brothers, Byron K. Wade and wife Sharon, and Derrick L. Wade; nephew, Kellin M. J. Wade and wife Melanie; uncles David Williams, III, Joseph Jackson and wife Rose; aunt, Wanda Hill; and a large number of cherished family members, loved ones, and friends; and her loyal canine companions, Peaches and Max.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 18th at 9:00 am, Located at 10201 Grant St. Thornton, Colorado 80229 Olinger Highland's Cremation Garden.
