Theresa Sommers

Theresa Marie Sommers born December 13, 1953 in Portland Oregon, died July 3, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. Survived by son, Justin, daughter, Christa, husband, Dale, and grandchildren, J.R., Uriel, Tristin, and Elijah. Other survivors include: parents, Bill & Geri Wallachy, siblings, Bob, Patty, & Kathryn, and numerous friends and relatives who loved her from coast to coast in America. She worked in H.R. and accounting for RSI, Gerry Outdoor Gear, & American Furniture Warehouse. She was the co-inventor of patented items and a proud and loving mother, wife, & grandmother. She involved herself in gardening, Bible study, fishing, hiking, sewing, cooking, remodeling, couponing, pets, upholstery, & antiquing. Her humanitarian acts include: being a host family for Up With People, CASA of Adams County volunteer, and a friend to homeless animals. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18, 11am, at North Hills Church of God (The Harvest), 8891 Poze Blvd, Thornton, CO 80229. Commital service is pending at Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheatridge, CO 80033. A potluck will be held at the church following the service. Please bring an acceptable Kosher style dish to share. As a tribute to Theresa, the family asks that you also bring a single clipped food coupon with your personal note directed to her. Think about Theresa and clip a coupon you know she would use. A separate coupon collection box will be at the potluck. All the coupons will be registered, remembered and subsequently burned by fire. The ashen remains will be placed aside Theresa's ashes within her urn upon burial.
