Vivian was born in Washington, Kansas on January 5, 1931. The family lived a simple and hard-working farming life in Kansas and eventually in northern Colorado. In her adult life, she held jobs with Mountain Bell and, later, a small local children's store. However, she was most dedicated to raising her three children.
Vivian loved gardening, square dancing and was a gifted quilter and seamstress. Her children and grandchildren, especially, reaped the benefits of her sewing magic with clothing, blankets and costumes and super hero capes. She crafted many beautiful quilts and crocheted countless hats and lap robes to be shared with various charitable organizations.
In retirement, she and Jack enjoyed many trips together, exploring historical sites and sight-seeing. She was known for her ability to repurpose just about anything into something useful and her love of butterflies will be long remembered by all who knew and loved her.
