William John Martinez

William John Martinez, aged 86, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025. William was born on July 26, 1939 in Denver, Colorado to his parents William and Barbara Martinez. In 1956 he married his beloved spouse Rachel Ruth Gomez. Together they shared four children, Gilbert, Theresa, Mitchell, and Kenneth.

He will be remembered for his service to the Lord along side his spouse Rachel. He loved to bowl in leagues with family and friends. He played 3rd baseman for their championship team Pics Corner. He was dedicated to his family through his hard work at the Safeway Bakery for 40 years.

William is survived by daughter Theresa (Edward), Mitchell (Candy), Kenneth (Julie), with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He is also survived by Phyllis Sanchez, Marge Rudy, David Martinez, Linda Stephens, and Richard Martinez. William is preceded in death by spouse Rachel Martinez, son Gilbert Martinez, and parents William and Barbara Martinez.

A visitation will be held on October 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A graveside service is scheduled from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. A reception will take place from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, also at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery.
