Wilma was a graduate of Edison High School, class of 1943.
At an early age, Wilma professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized in the Edison Christian Church.
In 1948, Wilma married Arnold Duane Hinze. To this union three children were born.
Wilma was active in her children’s schools, in Brownies Scouts and many other activities. Wilma worked for J.C. Penney Company for over 20 years, in furniture, carpeting and finally as the head of the customer service department.
Later in life, Wilma met and married Emery “Earl” Voltz. Wilma and Earl enjoyed their retirement by camping, fishing and traveling around the county.
Wilma lived with her daughter Cathy for the last five years of her life in rural Cotopaxi, Colorado. She loved watching the wildlife out her window. Wilma was a member of the Cody Park Community Church during her stay in Cotopaxi.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her children and grandchildren.
Wilma is survived by her daughter Cathy Lake (Charles), her son Stephen Duane Hinze (Pam) and her daughter Cynthia Hinze Schieck, her sister Claudia Jean Eberle (Dean), Nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, her siblings Wayne, Wyomia and Irma, two grandsons – Richard Jay McKie Jr and Shane Jay McKie, and her great-grandson Jarrett Michael Finger.
Funeral Services for Wilma will be held at 2 p.m., April 8, 2023 at the Olinger Highlands Mortuary in Thornton, Colorado.
A later Memorial Service will be held for Wilma on April 15, 2023 at Cody Park Community Church (her home church in rural Fremont County).
