Ace touched my life in so many ways that it is difficult to choose the words to describe my feelings.

Father
Friend
Confidant 
Hero
Storyteller
Conversationalist
Historian
Dreamer
And a very large part of the love of my life.
All this and so much more.
I am lucky to have have had him in my life, and proud he allowed me to be a part of his family.
The world is a bit less bright for having him leave it.
We love you forever,Ace.

TO ALL THE HALLING FAMILY, JEAN AND I OFFER OUR CONDOLENCES WITH THE PASSING OF "ACE". I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF WORKING WITH HIM AT GILL'S. WHEN I WENT TO VISIT MY DAD AT GILL'S,I ALWAYS STOPPED IN AND SAID HELLO TO ACE'S DAD GEORGE. (WITH HIS CIGAR) BUT I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT PLEASANT SMILE AND LAUGHTER THAT ACE POSSESSED AND THE KIND WAY HE TREATED PEOPLE. ACE WAS A REAL GENTLEMAN, AND I'M SURE A LOVING BROTHER, FATHER, AND GRANDPA TO ALL HIS FAMILY.

Ace had a good long run. It's never easy to lose a father, John and Mark. I wish you two the best. Still miss Buck every day. Hope to run into you both some day again, as well. Now that I think of it, how did your family end up with nicknames that were so lasting? I'm talking to you, Reese!

You are a wonderful, generous, fun man who was a huge part of my world when I was young. I have always thought very highly of you and appreciate you being such an incredible grandfather to my daughter. I had many fun times with you and still giggle to myself when I think of them. I do think you are the best story teller ever! Your friends and family will truly miss your physical presence but you will most certainly live on... You are a legend! My thoughts and prayers to your family for this difficult loss. I am so sorry...
