James was born in Coesse, Indiana on June 2, 1936. James served his country in the US Navy from 1954 to 1957. Continuing his service with Lake Oswego Police Department from 1965 to his retirement in 1993.
Joy Falardeau and James married in November of 1992, settling in Yuma, Arizona in retirement. James had a very creative mind designing several things with wood and jewelry. James' love of travel took him to many places in the United States and falling in love with Australia.
James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joy Walker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lea Rutledge and Teresa Vancil & husband; stepson, Brett Falardeau & wife; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
