

Jean Masarik Jacot, 93, of McMinnville, Oregon, passed away on June 7, 2024. She was born on May 7, 1931, in Middlesex, NJ, to the late Masarik family. Jean was a loving mother to Janice Dunlop and Stan Jacot, Jr., and a cherished grandmother to Jason, Jennifer, Brett, Claire, and Anna, and great-grandchild, Mikayla.
Jean was a dedicated individual who had a fulfilling career. She served in the US Government Criminal Investigation Department from 1950 to 1957 and later worked as a receptionist at Russell Brown Temp from 1961 to 1968 and at CRS & Multnomah Bible from 1985 to 1999. Jean's passion for teaching extended beyond her career as she also taught many children the Bible with fun songs and stories.
In her free time, Jean enjoyed volunteering and was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2006 for her commitment to organizations like Raphael House, Yolanda House, and Safehaven from 1993 to 2006. She was an active member of Burlingame Baptist and Grace Point Community Church, where she also served as a preschool teacher.
A Celebration of Life to honor and celebrate Jean's life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Young's Funeral Home, 11831 SW Pacific Hwy., Tigard, OR, 97223. Jean will be remembered for her caring heart, love for her family, and dedication to her community.
