

Kem Wayne Roos was the son of Andrew Wayne Roos and Carmelita Frances Roos (nee' Kraft). Kem is predeceased by his dad first, then followed by his mom. They are buried together at Willamette National Cemetery.
Kem grew up playing pinochle, the card game. He would often play for hours after dinner when he was first married. Usually, Kem and his then-spouse Traci would be on a team and his mom and dad would be on a team.
Kem is survived by his younger Brenda Lee Finley (nee' Roos). Kem is also survived by his two sons, Ben and Alex; and one grandchild, Ophie, and soon to be second grandson, Theo.
Kem graduated from Tigard High School in 1976. He was on the tennis team. Kem graduated from OSU with a degree in Zoology, with an emphasis in Marine Biology. He spent a lot of time at the coast looking at tidepools. He got his MBA from Portland State University. He worked for E-Machines, Apple, and became a finance manager for Ron Tonkin Acura. He was a Marketing Director before financing cars.
Kem met his former spouse Traci while working at Mt. Hood Meadows in the rental shop. They started dating the following year and were married at Hoodland Church on October 15, 1983.
Kem loved to ski. He was a Certified Ski Instructor. He also loved to golf and became quite good. Kem liked to be outdoors. He and Traci backpacked through Yosemite National Park, and also hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back. Kem really liked fine wine. He collected bottles of wine and would research wine on the Wine Spectator. He would look at the ranking of a wine, then go find it. At one point, he had accumulated 30 cases of wine and enjoyed sharing wine with all his friends.
