Ned Allen Miller

Born January 10, 1940 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Charles and Edith (Yambert) Miller. Ned was a 1958 graduate from Columbia High School in Tiffin, Ohio and earned degrees from Heidelberg College, Ohio University and East Texas State.

Ned married Diane Aronson on February 22, 1969 in Rockford, Illinois. He served 4 years in the US Air Force with a year in Thailand in 1967-1968. After a career in transportation planning on Portland, Oregon he reenlisted in the Air Force Reserve. He retired after 23 years of service.

Ned was active in many service organizations, with the Boy Scouts of America being his lifetime passion, along with travel and a love for life and history.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; brother, Dennis (Karen) Miller of Tiffin, Ohio; sister, Cheryl Strausbaugh of McCutchenville, Ohio; sister-in-law Jan (Ron) Herbert of Rockford, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in Ned’s honor at 2 pm November 19th at Tigard United Methodist Church, located at 9845 SW Walnut Place, Portland, OR 97223. Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniform.
