Bob was born on July 29th, 1930 to John Staggenborg and Nellie Park in Ferguson, Missouri. He graduated from Ferguson High School in 1948.
Bob served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. Shortly after discharge, he headed west to work on dams in Montana, Washington and Oregon. There he met and married his wife, Betty, and subsequently adopted her four children who were later joined by three brothers.
He worked various jobs including Mayflower Dairy, which caused him to become rather popular with the neighborhood kids because he got to bring home ice cream and popsicles which were frequently shared. He finally settled into a long career as a drywall contractor. After his retirement in 2005, Bob spent his time golfing and watching any sport that moved.
Bob is preceded in death by wife Betty, son, Mike and brothers Ed and Gene.
He is survived by sons Wayne (Dixie), Bill\Pepper (Rose), Rob (Anne), Rick (Karen) and daughters Julie Sharai and Debbie Sullivan (Larry) as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Due to the circumstances of the pandemic, there will be no service. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent de Paul or Special Olympics are appreciated.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Ivy Court Senior Living for the very special care and love they gave Bob during this past year, as well as Providence Hospice Services for their compassionate intervention at the end of his life.
