Anthony F. Noppenberger passed away on December 16, 2023. Tony was born on August 2, 1953, the 2nd child of 5 that would make up Michael & Marie’s family. Born and raised in Cockeysville, he attended school at St Joseph parish, Ridgley Junior High & Dulaney Senior High. In his early years he worked as a mason on many buildings and homes in Maryland.
Later in life he moved to Easton, followed by East New Market, where he worked at the Chesapeake Center. He helped and directed the clients of the center in creating items out of wood. These items were sent far and wide. His love of the clients of the Chesapeake Center and their love of him created a fun joyful atmosphere. Tony would decorate his area for every holiday, his most favorite holidays being Halloween and Christmas.
Tony had many interests that revolved around his natural talents of art and music. His art can be seen in his masonry, woodworking, and carpentry projects. He was a great gardener, loved fishing and creating train gardens. Tony’s greatest love besides his family and friends was playing the drums. He played from the time he was a teenager up to the time of his passing.
Tony was the loving father of Katherine Stolarz and her husband Kyle Ham, Samantha Stolarz and her husband Ryan Waldt, Teresa Thomas and her husband Marvin and Audrey Stolarz; beloved son of the late Michael A., JR. and Marie E. Noppenberger; dear brother of Stephen M. Noppenberger and his wife Kim Averno, Ann Marie Drabic and her husband Richard, Sue D. Woolf and the late Michael A. Noppenberger, III and his wife Charlene A. Noppenberger; Cherished grandfather of Athena, Lila, Acaelus, Corin, Luke, and Freya.
The family will receive friends at the Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier, 13717 Cuba Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21030 on Saturday, December 30th, 2023. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 am, followed by a Funeral Mass celebration at 11 am.
Then a Celebration of Tony’s Life gathering will be held at his daughter’s home, location to be provided at Mass. Please dress for a celebration!
Tony was loved by many from near and far. The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed for those who will be unable to join in person on December 30th. The link is provided below.
