

On Sunday, April 5, 2026, David Albert Huber passed away, He was the beloved husband of Victoria M. Huber (nee Kiersnowski) for 59 years; loving father of David V. Huber (Meghan F. Huber) and Christine A. Brune (Craig L. Brune); cherished grandfather of Thomas M. Matherly (Atalya Matherly), James K. Matherly, Samuel N. Huber, Evie C. Huber and Kyle L. Brune; dear brother of Richard G. Huber (Jane Huber); also survived by a nephew, nieces, and other extended family.
From humble beginnings to an accomplished life and career, Dave will be remembered as a devoted family man whose love for life was rooted in simple joys and lasting passions. A proud high school athlete, he played football, baseball, and basketball, sports that remained close to his heart throughout his entire life. He found great joy in watching and participating in all types of sports. He especially appreciated talented players, great teamwork, and athleticism.
Dave met the love of his life Victoria on the dance floor, beginning a partnership filled with music, laughter, and years of both dedicated hard work and family commitment. Together, they created a life grounded in love and companionship, strong common goals, and always finding time to relive those special moments that first brought them together.
Known affectionately as the ultimate “sports dad,” he rarely missed a game or swim meet, cheering on his kids throughout their years in grade school and beyond. He cherished summers spent at the local swim club, as well as the simple but meaningful memories of delivering newspapers with his kids, moments that they would cherish forever.
A dedicated civil engineer, Dave’s career was known nationwide for highly impactful, well-designed transit infrastructure. He designed and was involved with numerous projects in Baltimore, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, California, and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
At home, Dave took pride in caring for the things he loved. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes and peppers, and was well known for his freshly mowed lawn, which reflected his strong work ethic and attention to detail. He enjoyed the Maryland tradition of steaming his own crabs with his own special concoction (seasoning). Travel was inherent to him, whether for personal or for business, he enjoyed planning out the adventure. He worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family.
He brought laughter to those around him with his playful teasing, especially when it came to his children and grandchildren. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father, and a truly exceptional grandfather whose legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 11AM until 1PM at which time a Celebration of Life Service will begin.
Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
