Peacefully with family by her side, EDNA V. MADDOX (nee Ringgold); beloved wife of William H. Maddox for more than 60 years; loving mother and aunt of Olga Maddox and Alice Hayes, respectively; grandmother to grandpup, Roscoe; daughter of the late Charles and Amelia Ringgold; sister-in-law of Ernestine McLain; and aunt to a host of nieces, nephews; relative and friend to a host of others departed this life on August 1, 2017. She was the youngest of 9 children and pre-deceased by 8 siblings.
Calling hours will be at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD on Friday, August 11, 1-8pm with the family receiving from 6-8pm. Mrs. Maddox will lie in state in the Fairview AME Church, 2328 High Point Road, Forest Hill, Maryland 21050 on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 9-10am. A Celebration of her Life will begin at 10am.
Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
