Grandparents are a special part of every child’s life. Thankfully, over the past ten years, I have been lucky enough to call Mr. John my grandfather. Both Mr. John and Mrs. Linda were more than welcoming of my mother, sister, and I, and I am more than grateful for all the memories I share with Mr. John. You are an awesome man, and an amazing grandfather. Birthday parties, cookouts, family reunions, and many more will never be the same knowing you are not there. Rest peacefully, Mr. John. We love you. 

It’s hard to believe you are gone. I’ve always said that we are lucky to have grandparents in our lives. Grandparents are a blessing. I am grateful that our boys had you for their Pop pop. Mr John was a constant source of love and support for our family. He always wanted to spend time with the boys no matter what they were doing. We have great memories from all the family vacations with Mom mom and Pop pop. Big and small family cookouts, holidays, camping trips,  snowballs, and so much more. One thing I will always remember and admire was if we ever needed anything Mr John was there in a heartbeat. Thank you for all the memories. We love you and miss you. RIP Pop pop

As time goes on, it is still incredibly hard to believe that this happened. The 15 years you where in my life just flew by like nothing. When I was younger I remember waking up early just to go into your room and jump on you to wake you up, I remember sitting in the chair watching tv and eating all the snacks and chips, and the endless story’s you would tell me about my Dad and Uncle. As time went on we got closer and closer, we would go out to eat together, go fishing together, work on the mower together, and you always were teaching me something that you knew. We would sit in the car in the McDonald’s parking lot and talk about my truck for hours at a time. I remember when I started Uncle Johns truck and started revving it up in the back yard and you yelled at me. The good times seem like they go bye so fast, we love you just as much as you loved us. You were a great grandpa and always looked out for us know matter what. Rest In Peace Poppop, until we meet again. 

I met my brother-in-law, Buddy, when he was 13 years old. I remember him always laughing or making other people laugh.  Though the years, I watched Buddy grow in to a young man full of spice and vinegar. He and his cousin Ed threw me off of a pier in Pasadena, MD just after I was discharged from the army. I was fully clothed and I asked my  future  wife Donna if her brother was always like this.  She told me that he was. I observed Buddy as he grew older and saw that when he married Linda, he began to mature to become a devoted husband then a father and finally a grandfather. He truly loved his family. I have never been mechanically inclined as he was. However, my son, John, took right after Buddy in that department.  When Buddy came to Tampa to visit with family, he and my son, John, could always be found in a corner talking about cars. Buddy was always thankful when you did something for him. He did so much for others and he really appreciated it when you did something for him. Once, when he flew to Tampa for a visit, he received a call to return home as soon as possible due to a family emergency. The airline wanted almost $700 additional for a one way flight home the next morning. Buddy called me to ask if there was anything that I could do to help him out. I made several calls and was able to persuade the airline to make an exception in this case due to the circumstances.  He was able to use his original round trip ticket to make the trip home. I can't tell you how many times he thanked me for what I did. This small act of kindness on my part meant a lot to him. Donna and I always made it a point to visit with Buddy every time we were in Baltimore. I spent a lot of time with him when his sister, Myra, died several years ago when he came to Tampa to be with her at the end of her life. We have lost a kind, caring and loving man who was a great example for his family.  Buddy, we will miss you and will never forget you.

Dad as the days pass on without you, I miss you more and more. Ours lives have changed alot. Its hard not hearing your voice, your laugh,  or seeing your face.   Theres an empty chair where we would watch TV shows like street outlaws betting on who would win the next race.  I remember watching the races at Cecil County Dragway, and  going to  the Buck almost every weekend.  It feels like yesterday when I was your little Bubba riding up the road with John in your van, drinking yoohoo's  while listening to Alabama "play me some mountain music"!! I was stuck to you in the garage since I was 6. Watching you work on cars and busting your knuckles. You taught me every trick in the trade. I am thankful to have had a Dad like you to teach me.  Even though you made me learn the hard way sometimes. You helped John and I with our mustangs. When something broke you were quick to yell or laugh,  but would  help us get it fixed to race again. I will always remember all our times hunting and fishing. Im grateful for all the family vacations and time I got to spend with you and mom.  I can go on all day and night about the memories  and the things my father taught me. As he got older he lived for his grandkids loving every precious minute he spent with them.  From watching movies, helping with football and soccer practices,  to playing tickle bugs, magic tricks, and having lots of candy for them. He spoiled them like all grandparents do. We may go on living without him but he will always be with us.  R.I.P Pops until we meet again. We love you and miss you so much!!
 

Dad, Pops.. man where do I start. Honestly still in disbelief. I can remember back to you coming out the bathroom with shaving cream all over your face giving me papa Smurf kisses to get me out of your bed in the mornings. You were the king of arm wrestling! I will always remember all the trips to Cecil county drag way, the Mud Hops and the Buck! Our weekend fishing adventures at Conowingo dad my lines stuck again. Camping trips! Our hunting trips down the shore we all looked forward all year long. Yep that hard lesson you taught me about buck lure.. you know the one that ruined my gloves and made my fingers stink all weekend. As the years passed the bucks got bigger and the beer seemed to taste better. Still remember the first time playing keno with you and my numbers hit. We all changed our food order from burgers to steaks and doubled up on our drink order! 
The dirt bikes ,you taking us riding. The time you said hey boys watch this in the old blue Chevy. The dirt bikes faded as the cars came... All the endless nights you helping build the mustang in the garage, the late nights fixing Chad's after he broke it.  Can still see the look on your face after we installed the supercharger and fired it up for the first time grinning ear to ear.  I still laugh about the time you got a ticket driving my car due to the exhaust being too loud. Not sure why you had to take it out but you gave me some excuse to drive it. Dad you were stern but loving and put many a smiles on mine and Chad's face growing up.  am grateful to be able to say I saw those same smiles you put on my girls faces. They loved their Pop Pop. The tickle spiders! The candy and snacks down by your chair! Dad you may be gone, but know you will be with me every single time I hear a cammed up car, with every scent of cam2, every time I rev my truck up before the mud bogs, every time I go the track and every burnout from here on out.  R.I.P Dad!

My heart aches as I write these memories of my brother. My sister Myra and I couldn't say brother when he was born so we dubbed him Buddy. He was the cutest little thing.  As a young child, he was so close to my Dad, like a shadow.  Buddy was so much like my Dad, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was always a big jokester.  He and my cousin Ed threw my boyfriend Otts off a pier, clothes and all. I was horrified. He once called my Uncle Joe in Florida at midnight to tell him there was a gator in his pool. The security alarm went off and he almost called the cops until Buddy told him it was a joke. He called my Mom in Florida and told her to stop letting her dog mess on his lawn.  He got into a yelling match with her and threatened to call the pound and police if she didn't stop her dog from doing this. Then he abruptly stopped and said "hi Mom".  He surprised me 2 years ago by driving straight through to Florida for my birthday. It touched my heart.  My sister Sherry and I will really miss him.  We pray that God will comfort Linda and family and treasure  the memory of our dear brother. Buddy, we love you and we will never forget you.

My cousin buddy and I were not close as adults but as juveniles growing up in Pasadena, MD we were inseparable as we fished,  crabbed and water skied Rock-hill creek.  As a young man I remember that he could dismantle anything mechanical and repair it.  He was also into cars at an early age, it was part of his DNA.  As I reflect back at my memories  I smile and I am eternally grateful to have been part of his life’s voyage!  Rest in eternal peace cuz.

It is still so unbelievable!! There was never a dull moment with you.  You always lit up the room with smiles and laughter. You will be missed dearly but forever in my heart. Thank you for being like a grandfather to my siblings and I. We have so much care for you and your family. May you Rest In Peace, Mr. John 💛

In the past 10 years our family has shared many memories together.  Our very 1st camping experience started with Mr. John. He knew all the ins and outs and made sure we had everything to make that trip complete.  You always made my girls and I feel like family. The next couple years we spent many long weekends in Gettysburg camping and weeks at the beach Ocean front for the best view one could provide. I am thankful I was able to spend the last ten years knowing you and watching you come to love both mine and your sons children.  We are forever grateful for the giving, loving and knowledgeable (because we all laughed knowing that you knew it all lol) person you were.  You will forever remain in our hearts and always be remembered.  We love you with all of our hearts and hope that you are watching over us. Rest in peace Mr. John/Pop Pop. We miss you.

Though we saw Mr. Miller infrequently,
we came to know him through the kindness, generosity, and compassion of his sons John and Chad and their sons. The virtues and strengths that Mr. Miller and his beloved wife have  instilled in their children and grandchildren are a beautiful living legacy.  Mr. Miller's spirit enrichs our world  through  the worthy inheritors of his example. 

Mr. Miller, Mrs. Miller, John, Chad, and all of  the Miller family are in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers. 

I have a lot of of great memories with John. I can remember many times at the race track,fishing,hunting,camping and many more. He was always there if needed to help me in any way he could. I will truly miss him....rest in peace my brother in law.
