On March 12, 2021 MARGARET LUEBBE BUTLER. Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Robert B. Butler, her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Born and raised in Johnstown, PA, after graduating from Johnstown HS, Margaret attended and graduated from Gettysburg College, then later received her Masters in Education from Goucher College. Prior to her receiving her Masters Degree, Margaret worked for the Red Cross then taught 2nd grade in East Orange, NJ. Following her Masters Degree she taught 2nd grade in the Baltimore County School System and for a majority of her 33 years she worked as a Guidance Counselor at Rogers Forge Elementary School, retiring in 1991.
Margaret was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for many years and was an active volunteer with Helping Up Mission, Meals on Wheels, Sarah’s Hope and several educational organizations. In recent years she became a member of Faith Lutheran Church and volunteered with many activities including joining the choir, hand-bells, and church council positions.
Interment Service Private.
A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to Lupus Foundation of America and/or Helping Up Mission.
