

She was the first born child of Margaret and James Francis Dalton, Sr. and was born in Butler, Maryland in 1935.
Mary graduated from the Sparks School before going to work at the Stewartstown Sewing Factory. She later worked at Murray's as a welder and eventually retired from Baltimore County Public Schools as a custodian. Mary had a lifelong love of gardening and the outdoors. In her youth, she liked going to local dances. She enjoyed playing the accordion, card games, and horseshoes. Going to Oriole games with family and friends was a favorite summer pastime. Mary hosted many wonderful family reunions and Christmas parties where fun was had by all! She loved traveling and visited many places including Alaska and Ireland.
Mary was preceded in death by her nephew James Michael, brother-in-law Jerry Stidman, brother James Dalton, Jr., sister-in-law Carol Dalton, and great-niece Samantha Michael.
She is survived by her sisters Margaret Stidman, Kitty Raver and husband Lee, and Ann Dalton. She is also survived by her nephews Jerry Michael and wife Ginny, John Michael and wife Karen, Paul Dalton and wife Cindy, Jeff Cooper-Dalton and husband Todd, and Tom Stidman, and her niece Rebecca Clarke and husband Evan. Mary is survived by her great-nephews Will Dalton, Jack Dalton, Travis Michael, and great-nieces Felicia Michael, Keegan Clarke, and Quinn Clarke.
A mass and service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Long Green Valley on Saturday, February 7 at 11:00am.
