Nora L. Talbott

Nora Lee Talbott (ne Messina), age 84, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025 in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on July 23, 1940, also in Baltimore, she cultivated lifelong friendships and family relationships and will be remembered as an adoring grandmother & mother and devoted friend.

Nora was a proud graduate of the College of Notre Dame, where she laid the foundation for a lifelong career in education. She went on to become a dedicated teacher at Immaculate Conception School, where she spent many years shaping young minds and fostering a love of learning in her students.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Talbott. Together they built a life centered around family and community.

Nora is lovingly remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law: Meredith and Keith Millett, and Megan and Frank McGrath. She was a cherished grandmother to Julianna, Bridgett, Frankie, Beatrice, and Thomas. Her sister, Nancy, and brother-in-law, Kent Shaffer, also mourn her passing, along with many cherished nieces and nephews and a large extended family who held her close in their hearts.

In retirement, Nora embraced an active lifestyle filled with joy and connection. She loved playing bridge and participating in exercise classes and activities at the Cockeysville Senior Center. A passionate traveler, she found great pleasure in exploring new places. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren – sharing games, laughter, and lasting memories.

The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, July 14 from 1PM to 3PM and 6PM to 8PM.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of The Nativity, 20 E. Ridgely Road, Timonium, Maryland on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 10:30AM. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
