Norman was a family man. Affectionately known as Pop Pop, he embodied the roles of a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. The understanding and empathy that he gave to all that he came into contact with was epitomized in his dedicated care for his family and friends.
Norman Robert Oros, 87 years old, of Cleveland Ohio died in Lutherville Maryland, of cancer on October 25, 2023.
Norman was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1938, to Joseph and Helen Oros, who lovingly took care of him in his youth and he in turn, took care of them in their golden years. Mr. Oros attended high school and local college for a short period. After realizing that continuing a formal education was not for him, Norman joined the Army where he meet his life long friend and future brother-in-law, Bill Beydler. While stationed at Fort Meade, Norman met the love of his life, Mary Roden. Norman was an only child, however, he was blessed with a wonderful and caring sister-in-law, Carol Beydler who was married to his best friend, Bill.
Norman met Mary sixty-seven years ago and they remained husband and wife, loving partners, and the very best of friends for all those years. Their love for each other extended to their ever-growing family. Norman and Mary immediately started family of their own, and their children Mark, David, and Matthew became the focus of Norman’s life.
Norman will always be remembered for the love for his family and the way he cared for each of them collectively and personally. We couldn’t have asked for a better son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend and we will miss Pop Pop every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
Norman is survived by his three sons and their wives, David and his wife Marla, Matthew and his wife Tam, Mark and his wife Heidi, his grandchildren Erik and his wife Samara, Heather and her husband Joe, Tyler, Ryan and his wife Katie, Maggie, Rebecca, Hannah, and Sarah, and his great-grandchildren Zeke, Dylan, and Evie.
A memorial service has not been arranged at this time.
