Born on June 26, 1938, Pat was the beloved daughter of the late Russell E. and Blanche N. Keadle (née Jones). She now joins her devoted husband, Lynn R. Fleming, and her dear siblings, Lorraine Summers and Maynard Keadle.
Pat embodied spirit and excellence from a young age. As a student at Boonsboro High School, she was a dynamic presence, serving as a cheerleader and drum majorette, while also gracing the stage in drama and glee club. Her commitment to education was unwavering; she graduated magna cum laude from Hagerstown Business College and continued to pursue knowledge at institutions including the University of Maryland and Lewis and Clark College.
Always a woman of grace, Pat was an entrant in the Miss Hagerstown pageant and was awarded Miss Congeniality. She was later honored as the “Ideal Business Woman” by the Alpha Iota International Business Sorority.
For nearly 40 years, Pat was the heart of the Division of Administration for Baltimore County Public Schools, where she served tirelessly as an executive assistant. Her dedication extended far beyond her office; she was a fierce and celebrated leader in her profession.
Pat’s colleagues recognized her extraordinary commitment by electing her President of the National Association of Educational Office Personnel (NAEOP) in 1984, where she remained a cherished life member. She also held leadership roles with the Maryland and Baltimore County associations and was honored as “Secretary of the Year” and “Educational Office Employee of the Year.” Her expertise even took her abroad as a U.S. delegate for the People-to-People initiative in Asia.
Even with her demanding professional life, Pat always prioritized her true passion: caring for those around her. When she wasn't working, she was traveling the world, entertaining family and friends, or caring for her beloved pets and local wildlife. Pat had a heart of gold that she shared freely, ensuring that every person who crossed her path felt instantly welcomed and deeply loved.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her nieces and nephews: Robert A. Bentz (Gayle), Bruce Fleming (Karen), Michael Keadle (Jan), Jack Fleming (Amy), Patrick Keadle, Wayne Fleming, Jane Wisniewski (Dan), Missy Keadle (David Lenoe), and Linda Hanes (Maurice), along with a host of great-nieces and nephews who will dearly miss her warmth and infectious kindness.
The family will receive friends at Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4 pm until 8 pm.
A Graveside service will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025 starting at 12:00 PM at Boonsboro Cemetery, 64 S Main St, Boonsboro, MD 21713.
