Richard Kenneth Rodney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Kenneth Rodney, at the age of 83, on September 1, 2025.

Richard lived a life full of love for both the people closest to him and the outdoors. An avid deer hunter and bird watcher, he found peace and joy in the beauty of nature. His compassion for animals was evident in the way he cared for his fur babies, “Louie” and “Zippy,” who brought him daily happiness and companionship.

Richard will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Mary Jo, his children Tiffany Rodney (Nicholas Johnson), Jennifer Smith (Sean Smith), and Nicole Willhide (Jeff Hawk), and his cherished grandchildren Isabel Johnson, Rei Johnson, Madeline Smith, Finnegan Smith, Sophia Willhide, Amos Willhide, and Benjamin Willhide. He is also survived by his siblings Vernon Rodney, Jr. and Debbie Burke, who will carry forward the many memories they shared together.

He leaves behind a legacy of humor and love for his family. The joy Richard brought into the lives of those around him will live on in the memories and stories shared by those he loved.

A cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember him.
