

Robert Burnett Temple, 84, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on October 17, 2014, in hospice care at Longview Nursing Home. Born July 19, 1930 and raised in the Pimlico area of Baltimore, he was the son of the late Burnett Franklin Temple and Hazel Temple White (nee Saunders).
Bob served in the United States Navy as an aircraft engine mechanic, on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Lake Champlain, during the Korean Conflict. After completing his naval service, he worked as a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad, conducted his own television repair business, repairing TV’s for individuals and retails businesses, and later as an employee of BGE, retiring in 1992. Having moved his family from Baltimore to Carroll County in 1971, he and his wife Gerri moved to Florida in 1999, then back to Westminster in 2009.
Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine (Gerri) Temple (nee Barton), daughters Debbie Temple, Robin Temple, and Tammy Testerman; son-in-law Steve Testerman; sons Robert Temple and Randall Temple; and daughter-in-law Heidi Temple (nee Armstrong). Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Brightview Westminster Ridge, 505 High Acre Drive, Westminster, MD 21157. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
