Dear Rosemary, Maureen, Ryan, Kathryn, Meredith and Eric,
My heart goes out to you all on the sudden passing of Ron. While he was no doubt a devoted husband and dad, I'll always remember him from earlier times when he was the BMOC  football star in high school, the tanned lifeguard at Carlee (Rockleigh, NJ), a protector for Don and Moe, and finally as an amusing groom at his wedding. 
I hope you draw strength from each other as you remember the good and loving times shared with Ron.

Rosemary, Ryan, Kathryn, and Moe, it was with great sadness that I just heard about Cousin Ron's passing.  Though it's been a while since we last spoke, you have all been in my thoughts over the years.  Though he was a couple of years older than me, I have shared many adventures in my youth with Ron, Don, and of course, "Big Ed".  Ron was the first of our "Hanley" generation to "make good", coming out of Hargrave Academy to go on to Penn State.  We all looked up to him - I can still remember, as a little boy, going to see him play football on Thanksgiving for Pascack Valley.  As cousins, we share your sense of loss, having just lost our brother Timmy two weeks ago. Both good men, who have left us much, but had so much more to give.  Please be assured that their spirits shall both live on, so long as we keep them in our hearts, and remember them with at least so much joy for their living as sadness for their passing. I only worked with Ron for about a year and a half but always looked forward to seeing him at the various conferences/trainings at NISH.  He was a good guy and I very much enjoyed his sense of humor.  My sympathies to his friends and family...Kathi DuTilly

Although it's been close to 50 years, I still remember "Hoggy" with sincere fondness and appreciate even more his good humor balanced with his strong beliefs.  He was a special man in a special time and I am pleased to be able to call him a friend and Brother.

Together with the many classmates from Pascack Valley High School and the River Vale schools who admired and respected Ron, we send our love and prayerful condolences to Rosemary and the extended Hanlon family.

It deeply sadden me to hear of Ron's passing. We were not only coworkers but become good friends throughout the years. Ron loves his family and through him I feel that I know you all.
