Dear Beth  and family,
It is with shock and great sorrow that I learned of Mark's passing. He was the most wonderful human being that I got to know at Alex. Brown and shared over wine and with his great friend Robert Parker. He was a giant of a person physically and spiritually and as gentle a man as they come. His business acumen was extraordinary and his integrity impeccable. 
I feel so fortunate to have known Mark and to have learned from him and I am so sorry that I did not know that he was ill.

Our deepest sympathy and love to Beth and family. We have known Mark since we first met Mary Ellen over 20 years ago. We always admired his kindness, compassion and willingness to help. He was the epitome of a gentleman and his easy smile and buoyant spirit will be sorely missed. He was an inspiration to us. We are thankful to have known him. 

First of all, I pass my condolences to Mark's entire family and I encourage to dwell on the many great memories shared with Mark.  We share your loss!
I had the pleasure of recruiting and coaching Mark for UMBC basketball.   We were starting a program and needed quality players who were excellent students, passionate, winners and unselfish.  Additionally, and maybe more importantly, they needed to be good people and fun to be around.   Mark Clark was all of the above and very humble.  
We knew that Mark would be a very important contributor to UMBC Basketball and finally convinced Bill Clark to trust his son to us.  Mark was a coach's dream and sacrificed for the benefit of the team whether he started or came off the bench.  Mark's major contribution were usually on the defensive end and I remember our eye contact following his many key subtle plays.  
It was not suprising that Mark was a successful business man and a great family guy.  I love you Mark and thank you for the time/experiences which we shared.

I was stunned to hear of the passing of Mark from Brian Shannon. He was all about family and friends and his beliefs. There were many times at Brick Bodies that we would stop a workout to just talk about what was on our minds and in our hearts. I think back at how important those discussions were to me. He was raised by great parents ( I had the honor of being coached by his Father in basketball at St. Mary's Govans) and he possessed the best qualities that they instilled in him. Mark was a great human being and will be forever missed. Rest in Peace


William will always be remembered and respected for his kindness towards me and my family. He was one of the nicest people that I've met in my life. 
Williams and his family took my family on a weekend trip a few years ago, and we had such a great time. I wish I could and I would have done anything to bring him back, but he is in a better place with He whom he loved so much. 
I am respecting William's wish and have purchased the book, "Are you Still Mine?" and will help William to reach his goal of having everyone in the world to getting a copy of the book.

One of my most fond memories of Mark came in 2013, while preparing to attend an event titled, “Bourbon & Bowties”. Mark was known to be a bow-tie connoisseur, and upon seeing my multiple failed attempts to tie the darn thing, he calmly walked over and gave me a hand. He then proceeded to have me re-tie it, making sure I actually learned the steps. Mark was the definition of gentleman and a true mentor. His compassion for his family, friends and clients was unsurpassed. Mark’s epiousios spirit will live on in all those who were fortunate enough to cross paths.

I am very sorry about your loss of Mark. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish you peace and joyful memories of Mark.

Very sad to learn of his passing. Mark and I played on the same UMBC Basketball team for three years. We spent a lot of time together and would hang around after Saturday practices to talk about many things. He was a very bright and likeable guy, a cool dude for sure. I hadn’t seen him in years but we texted a few times. My  condolences go out to his family and I also want to thank his Dad for being a great fan and true Gentleman. I will never forget Mark and May he Rest In Peace. 

With a very heavy, deeply sad heart,I send my condolences and sympathies to Beth and the entire family. I knew Mark for nearly 40 years, and he was a saint, gentleman, a great husband and father. He cared about the important things in life. Sadly the world is a lesser place without his presence.I feel so privileged to have known him, had him as a friend......until we meet again.....RIP big, beautiful guy!

I am the sister of Mary Carnaggio who worked with Mark at Alex Brown years ago.  I just want to send my heartfelt condolences to your family on Mark's passing.  He truly was a gentle caring person.  I will keep your family in my prayers.  Just know he is at peace.

Dear Clark Family
I was so heart broken to hear about the loss of my good friend Mark.   Mark was a remarkably kind, endearing  and good natured person.  He always put the interest of others first.   As my broker he could never do enough to take care of my financial interests.   As a friend I could always count on him to be genuinely concerned about how things were going and what he could do to help.  He will be missed but he will not be forgotten by me.   My deepest condolences to Mark's family on your tragic loss and I wish you all the best in the future.

Mark was a great guy, a  great father and husband, a great hoopster and tennis player.  I was fortunate to work with him at Brown and he was a wonderful co- worker. I was  also able to play some hoop against him as a kid and adult. He was dominant. Most importantly, he loved his family and was very grounded in faith. We know he will live forever. We have been friends and neighbors of the Clark family for more than 25 years, watching their kids grow up with our son.  Our love and prayers go out to Beth and the kids during this time of grief. We are grateful to have known Mark.
