Papa- I love you so very much. I missed out on so much but I have so many great memories. I looked up to you. You were a very strong man. You are greatly missed. Its going to be hard to go to dad's and go downstairs and not have you in your chair watching a movie and telling me the WHOLE story haha. I will miss the car shows with you and dad. I know I'm a girl but I love me some Hot Rods!!!! Love you papa more than I could ever EVER express! And I will make sure the baby remembers you!!

Uncle Carl I feel so blessed to have been there with you when you left this world.  I kept waiting for you to wake up and argue with me, but I know it was time for you to go off to a better place.  Know that I loved you very much and I will miss you.  Aunt Margie, Steve, Jackie, Stevie and Ashley there is nothing I can say to make you feel better right now, just know that I love you all and am here for you.

 You are going to be greatly missed by all who knew you. Words cannot even begin to express the sadness I am feeling right now. We went round and round and have shared many laughs, tears, and good times in the years since I married your son and became a member of the family. Pretty sure I will not be leaving a Shoneys covered in strawberries...without you here to throw them on me!!! I have shed many tears....since you passed, but also we have had many laughs remembering all the crazy things you have done. You have been a great Father-In-Law to me, and I don't know how we are even going to begin to pick ourselves up and go on!!! I Love You, your Daughter-in-Law Jackie

We have shared tears of sadness at Carl's passing and tears of laughter in recounting memories of his life these past several days. He was a fearless man that approached every experience life offered him as a great adventure. We are proud to have known him and called him friend. He will be missed. Things won't be the same without Carl being here.

Margie, Steven, Jackie, and Stevie I am so sorry for your loss. You all are in our prayers. If there is anything else my family might help you with please let me know. You all lost a great man this past week but know in your hearts he is with god now and not hurting anymore. No words will take the pain away I know that first hand. In the coming weeks just know that we are here for you all.

I have been praying for your family i was in the waiting room when you Mom was talking to the Nurse on the nineth floor waiting room, my wife has spent many a days on the nineth floor the last several weeks , but the story that your Mom was telling about Mr. Hughes was the story that I would like people to remember me for.
