My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Bob's family and friends. I had the pleasure of knowing and coaching Bob on Start High's chess team. He was a strong player on a very strong chess team. His strength in chess was that no matter how bad he was getting beat, he would dig in, fight back, and usually wind up winning. His sense of humor amused all of the other players. He played in many city, state, and national events for the Start team. Thanks Bob, for teaching me……
