to an outstanding grandpa... love you and you will be missed dearly by many. i remember when we would be the only ones at the house and we would sing to Jonny cash. Everytime i hear jonny cash i think of our time together.

Tom and I taught together at Clay High School and I always enjoyed our conversations in the faculty lounge.  We talked a lot of sports when Tom discovered I had played basketball at the University of Toledo.  I remember Tom and I talked about a UT center named Sylvester "Stretch" Goedde who later was a professional baseball player.  Tom knew "Stretch", as I recall, from his hometown area.  When Tom found out I knew Carty Finkbeiner, Toledo's controversial mayor, he had a lot of fun chiding me, often asked me about "my very best friend."  Good guy, always friendly, someone I wish I had known even better.  We had a great relationship, shared many laughs.  God bless Tom and my condolences to the Eckman family.  Tuffy Reason

Debbie, Tyler, Richard, David, Samuel & Terry Watson send our deepest sympathy to the Eckman family.  In the same moment we celebrate a life which brought God glory in the time lived.  Family, students, co-workers, church family, all were blessed by Toms gentle and loving manner.  We so enjoy remembering  a visit Tom and Alice made to our home in Lawton a number of years ago and Toms ablity to identify a "Loon" among the duncks at a nearby lake.  Toms service to our country in the army and merchant marine, to his family, to his church family,  and to the many students who crossed his path provides an excellent example of the greatest generations contrinution to mankind.
