Kathryn Mae Wallingford Applegate

Kathryn Mae Wallingford Applegate, 83, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. She was the widow of Lloyd “Deb “ Applegate who passed away April 13, 2014. They were married sixty-eight years. Mrs. Applegate was a partner in the Tollesboro Auto Sales with her late husband. She was a member of the Tollesboro Christian Church, a Notary Public, formerly worked for US Shoe and also babysat and did private care sitting for Adultcare. She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on February 16, 1931 the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie Applegate Wallingford. She is survived by one son Doug Applegate (Janie) of Tollesboro, KY; four daughters Linda Mason (Robert Browning) of San Antonio,TX, Debbie Boling (Dudley) of Tollesboro,KY, Marla Niccum (Mike) of Alexandria, IN, and Shelia Stanfield of Flemingsburg, KY; 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; Two brothers, Charles “Denny” Wallingford (Debbie) of Hillsboro, OH and Mike Wallingford of Covington, KY; three sisters, Ann Patton of Parkersburg, W. VA, Pauline Applegate (Norman) and Billie Jean Smith (Zola) both of Maysville, KY. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Roger Dale Applegate, one grandson, Cullen Stanfield, one great grandson, Tanner Gilliam, one great granddaughter, Kinslee Rice and two sons-in-laws, Jerry Mason and John Ellis. Funeral Services for Kathryn Applegate will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Tollesboro Christian Church with Rev. John Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hinton, Scott McCane, Darin Spence, Walter Gilliam, Cody Shannon and Joe Barnhouse. Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the church.
