Ruth Gerike

Ruth Mae Grayson Gerike, 74, of Maysville went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, October 20, 2014. Mrs. Gerike was the owner of Gerike Wallpaper and Painting, was a member of the Happy Hollow Union Church for thirty-eight years and was well known for her cooking and her sweet tea. She was born September 8, 1940 the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Dryden Grayson. She is survived by four sons, Kelvin (Melissa) Gerike of Tollesboro, KY; Karl (Theresa) Gerike of Maysville, KY; Kenneth “Kenny” Gerike and Keith (Thelma) Gerike both of Vanceburg, KY; sixteen grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah, Lekeisha, Kyle, Kenny, Blake, Micheal, Levi, Samantha, Trey, Hunter, Heather, Braydon, Connor, Myka and Autum; one great grandchild, Brycen; seven brothers, Sam (Mary) Grayson of Philadelphia, PA, Andrew (Dana) Grayson, David (June) Grayson and Phillip (Lisa) Grayson all of Maysville, KY, Steven (Susie) Grayson of Mt. Olivet, KY; Paul Grayson of Macon, GA and Mike (Donna) Grayson of Tollesboro, KY and three sisters, Martha (Jim) Wilson of Florida, Mildred (T. B.) Applegate and Mary Moore both of Tollesboro, KY. She was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Grayson, Jr. and one sister, Carolyn Edna Johnson. Funeral services for Ruth Gerike will be held at the Happy Hollow Union Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 25, 2014 with Bro. Brian Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Happy Hollow Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Moore, Blake Gerike, Wayne Cooley, Frankie Truesdell, Jerry Wlaker and Brent Applegate. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to the Happy Hollow Union Church, 14831 KY 57, Tollesboro, KY 41189.
