Jesus David Leyva

On August 15, 2021 Jesus David Leyva, 58, aka OG or Mafia joined our good Lord and was reunited with his father Jose Angel, sister Joya, and brothers Javier and Angel. It was a devastating loss to the family. We absolutely do not have a clue how to do this life without him. But we find comfort knowing he is smiling up there. We can feel it in the sun and the way the butterflies linger as his playmate and beloved grandson, Guillermo “Memo” Guzman, tries to catch them. Being a grandfather next to being a father to his two daughters, Mya J. Leyva and Danielle Leyva Guzman, was definitely one of his most cherished roles. They can only hope he saw enough of them to make him proud. Family was everything to him as well as his unique relationship with God. Jesus is now promoted to the deserving role of Guardian Angel to longtime partner and friend Lisa Gallegos, his mother Juanita Leyva, sisters Juanita and Petunia, and brothers Jose, Joaquin, and Edwardo. Jesus was also the one many sought for wisdom and encouragement and will be leaving behind his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. We all know he is caught up on the latest tea saying, “Whooo??”. Guide your grandson to do great things. We will love you always, miss you dearly, and will be carrying you in our hearts forever old man.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., Grace Walk Church, 7840 W. Lower Buckeye Rd, Phoenix, AZ.
