Leonor Baca (Ramos) went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 19, 2020. She was born February 10, 1936 in Matamoros, Coahuila, Mexico. She came to the United States in 1950 and would plant roots in Arizona in 1959. As a woman and the matriarch of her family, she was a tremendous force who exemplified strength, tenacity, and beauty. Her whole life she worked humbly and hard and selflessly made the American Dream a reality for her children and their children. Leonor is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Manuel L. Baca; six sisters (Cenona, Maria, Julia, Benita, Refugia, and Guillermina); one brother (Jose); and daughter-in-law, Patricia. She is survived by her four children ( Damian, Martha, Manuel, and Marilyn); nine grandchildren (Elenor, Anna, Rosie, Christina, Steven, Frankie, Melissa, Angelo, and Michael); thirteen great grandchildren (Marisa, Rebecca, Catherina, Alexandra, Ricky, Damian, Anthony, Isabella, Jaime, Destany, Elisa, Marco, and Eleanor); and by the grace of God lived to welcome and be survived by three GREAT GREAT granddaughters (Acelynn, Luna, and Milea); as well as many nieces and nephews.
