It is heartbreaking to learn about the passing of our grandfather. However, his legacy and the impact he had on our lives will undoubtedly be cherished forever.

It is never easy to say goodbye to someone we love, especially someone as significant as he was. As we navigate through this period of grief, remember that the memories we shared will remain in our heart. Reflect on the moments of joy, wisdom, and love that he brought into our life.

As we celebrate his life, may the shared memories be a source of comfort and healing for our family.

Abuelito you came to so many of my events, my milestones, supporting me in my endeavors. I’ll forever cherish those memories and as I continue reaching other milestones your presence will be missed but I know you’ll be watching. Your devotion to your family is something I will carry with me as I try to emulate that which you have instilled in our family.

I love you now and forever Abuelito. Thank you for an amazing life together, until we meet again.

It is with a heavy heart and profound love that I pay tribute to my beloved grandfather, Salvador Guzmán Zavala, whose gentle departure from this world has left an indelible mark on my soul. As I reflect on his remarkable journey, I am reminded of the profound impact he had on my life, shaping me into the son, father, and brother I am today.

Grandfather Salvador was a man of great strength, embodying the virtues of hard work, honesty, and an unwavering commitment to family. His life story, from the humble beginnings in El Derramadero, Guanajuato, to the loving home he established in Idaho, is a testament to his resilience and dedication. His mantra, "Pobre pero honrado, chaparrito pero trabajador," resonates with me, instilling a sense of pride and integrity in the face of life's challenges.

Despite the traditional values of his upbringing, my grandfather never hesitated to express his love and affection. His embrace was a sanctuary, his laughter a beacon of joy. He showed me that true strength lies in the courage to be vulnerable, to love without reservation. This lesson has been a guiding light in my life, influencing my relationships and the love I share with my own children.

His passing has left a void, yet I find solace in the memories we shared and the love that continues to bind us. I am grateful for every moment, every lesson, and every smile. His legacy lives on, not only in the cherished memories but also in the values he imparted. Through God's grace, I hold onto the belief that we will be reunited, and until then, he will remain alive in my heart and my actions.

Having the blessing to have work with my dad was definitely some of the best years of my life. I really enjoyed learning so much from him and the best part was the story sharing he had with me about his younger years. You will be missed Dad l love you always and forever.

Verte tomar tus coyotitos nos gustaba aunque no nos cansábamos de decirte, “ papá te llevamos a la cama para que te duermas un rato “ decías que no que no tenías sueño  lol así eras tú

Todo un patriarca, estamos muy orgullosos de ti papá

Fuiste un gran esposo, padre y abuelo siempre atento y cariñoso con toda tu familia, un gran ejemplo

La vida impidió que te pudieras comunicar libremente en los últimos años pero no impidió que tus pensamientos volarán lejos ni borró tú sonrisa ni tu ánimo de seguir viviendo, tremendo ejemplo nos dejaste

Gozabas viéndonos compartir y te carcajeabas de las anécdotas graciosas, gracias papá por tú ejemplo de siempre ver la vida con ánimos

Los últimos años de tú vida estuviste en una silla de ruedas pero no impidió que siguieras disfrutando al aire libre ni borró tu sonrisa, siempre optimista y luchador

Esta sonrisa la llevaré grabada en mis recuerdos

In the brief 8 years I had the privilege of knowing Salvador Guzman, I deeply wish for more time to appreciate the warmth of his smile and the kindness that radiated from him, leaving an enduring impact on everyone around. His role as a loving grandfather and the inspiring affection he showed to his wife and children spoke volumes about his character. As we navigate these difficult times without him, may the cherished memories of his love bring solace, and may his legacy of kindness resonate in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have been touched by him.

I want to tell some stories about my dad when I was growing up I only have memories when he used to take me to the to the store and he will take my sister  Lucy and me in and he will talk to the owner of the store and he will buy us a soda pop and that will make a world difference for my sister and me and I believe I was about five or six years old when I remembered all this and uh so I grew up very close to my dad and I I deal see him as very young and very strong man and very proud of each of his children I think in our house my mom was a disciplinarian and my dad hey I mean he was stern and and he will tell us what to do but I don't remember any harsh words coming from my my dad's mouth and so that in itself is a it's an example that I have followed or tried to follow uh he will never allow us to say bad words or keep bad company in and I think that's what set him apart when we may move to Walhalla and there were several occasions where we worked together side by side and it was hard work and uh but he never complained or anything so I remembering all these things about my dad I think that saying that's says if live gives you lemons make lemonade I think that's that was my dad he always was willing to lesson listen to all his children and give counsel For me my father was the best dad I could ever have he was a he led by example I believe that if we had followed my dad's advice we will be Saints because that's what he wanted for each and every one of his children I love you dad and I will see you soon Your son Baldo and your daughter Lya and your granddaughter Paloma will always remember you.

These cherished moments of my grandpa being with his grandkids and celebrating one of their birthdays will forever hold a special place in my heart.

In the twinkle of Grandpa's eyes, we were wrapped in a love that spoke volumes without words. Those tender gazes were his silent expressions of affection for each grandchild.

Thank you abuelito for helping raise my siblings and I and we are forever grateful for the many lessons learned from you. You were a hard working man and though you worked very many hours, you still found time to spend with us in the backyard teaching us how to garden or just letting us watch. And offering us comfort and kind words when needed.  My childhood memories are all of you and my abuelita and the moments spent with you. I am forever blessed to have the privilege of having you as my abuelito. Descanse en paz🕊 nos veremos en el cielo Abuelito 🙏

In the chapters of my life, being my grandpa's grandson was the greatest gift. His lessons on kindness and strength resonate in every part of who I am. Today, as I hold dear memories close, I am grateful for the privilege of passing down his wisdom to my son Santiago. Beyond a legacy, it's a living connection a heartfelt promise that the essence of the incredible man my grandpa was will forever echo in our family story.

I love you abuelito. Thank you for being such a loving grandfather. Your love and kindness has molded me into the person that I am today.

I remember we always loved to go to my grandparents house. Our best childhood memories were with them. For some reason their house always seemed a lot bigger than it actually was. Maybe it was the type of loving environment they created in their home that always made it seem so big and welcoming. My grandfather was the hardest worker I’ve ever known. He was the prime example of an amazing human being. I will never forget him. I’ll always keep him alive in my memories.

Thank you Dad for everything you did for your family, your legacy will live forever.
