Yelandra Gren-na Wakeman

Yelandra Gren-na Wakeman(Patton) was born on September 7, 1974, to the union of Debra Johnson and Robert Lee Patton in Indianapolis, Indiana. Yelandra was truly one of a kind with an incredible story to tell. Many of her loved ones would say she was so vibrant and full of life she would light up every room. She was social butterfly who's personality was contagious to everyone person she met. She had many titles including Diva, The Dutchess, The Boss, and most importantly mom. She became a young mother to her two children and strived to be the best mother she could be. She was always took great pleasure in helping others from finding a safe place to live to helping animals find adoptive families.

She had dreams and aspirations to help women and children that she always pursued a career in social work. She last worked for the State of Arizona as a Rehabilitation Technician assisting mentally disabled individuals find stable work. Among many talents, she also became an entrepreneur and created Women 4 Women, LLC.

She valued continued education that she became a Certified Doula and was studying to become a Nutritionist to help cancer patients. She was also a Certified Public Notary for the State of Arizona. She enjoyed many hobbies including baking, travel, beauty, and quality time with friends and loved ones.

Yelandra departed this life on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Lane Wakeman; her daugther, Britinee S. Patton; her son, Dustin Q. Patton; her grandchild, Roderick T Burks; her step-children Ethan, Regan, Alayna; her siblings William Warfield, Rolawn Patton, Robert Patton jr, Deanne Lewis, and Antron Patton; her neices and nephews Ra'Shard Warfield, De'Shawn Warfield, Jasmine Lewis, Alexis Ealy, Denise Patton(Passed), Morgan Matthews(passed), Jalon Patton, Robert Patton, Alana Patton, Arielle Patton, Aleeyah Patton, Nellie Anderson; and host of other family members
