Obituary of Arline M. Feicht
Arline M. Feicht passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021. She was the loving wife of William M. Feicht, who passed away three years ago. Arline was born on May 4, 1929 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. She was the only daughter of Matthew and Mabel Maskas and was predeceased in death by her brothers Leroy, Laverne and Robert. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1947 and worked for Pittsburgh Plate and Glass for four years, saving money to put herself through college. She graduated from Indiana State Teachers’ College in Indiana, Pennsylvania in 1955. While getting her teaching degree, she met her future husband. Arline and Bill celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary shortly before his death. Arline first taught high school business/secretarial classes, but eventually was certified in elementary education. She taught 6th grade and the gifted student program at Goetz Elementary School in the Jackson School District, Jackson NJ, for most of her career. Arline was an avid paper crafter. Over the years she designed and made greeting cards and scrapbooks. For many years she was a Stampin’ Up consultant. She taught card-making at Lakewood Community School, too. Other interests included traveling, photography and going to garage sales. Arline was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Toms River and played with the bell choir and helped in a variety of volunteer opportunities at the church. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Circle. She was also a volunteer for the Caregivers Association of Central Jersey. She lived and raised her family in Toms River, NJ for 30 years before moving to the Leisure Knoll community in Manchester, NJ, and finally to the Harrogate Independent Living community, in Lakewood, NJ. Arline is survived by her daughters Doreen Orr and Carla Lucas. She has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Monday, October 18 from 4 to 8 pm at Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Funeral services are on Tuesday, October 19 at 11 am at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arline Feicht’s name can be made to Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, 67 Route 37 West, River Plaza 2, Second Floor, Toms River, NJ 08755.
