Barbara A. Donovan

Mrs. Donovan was a substitute teacher for the Manchester Board of Education. Barbara was a graduate of St. Dominics Academy in Jersey. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Biology and Marine Biology in 1982

Barbara was known as the “Cookie Lady” for her baking skills. She loved being at the beach with a good book. She loved animals, especially her three golden retrievers, Mactavish, Doolin and Cabo. She will be loved and remembered by the many people she touched with her heart, kindness and laughter.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents, James Leroy Walsh and Catherine “Kitty” Walsh and her brother John Walsh. She is survived by her husband Thomas Donovon, sister Sr. Catherine Walsh and brother James Walsh and his wife Ginger, sister-in-law, Kathleen Chiapetta, Brother-in-law Kevin Donovan and his wife Donna. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Colleen, Kevin, Amelia, Owen and Meghan, whom she loved dearly

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 3-7pm from at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. A mass will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 10 am at St, Joseph Church in Toms River. Cremation will be private.
