

Charles A. Ferrara, 75, of Toms River, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Bloomfield, he lived in Lakewood for 30 years before moving to Toms River in 2002. He was a longtime member of Teamsters Union Local No. 701 in South Brunswick, and he was as a truck driver for over 40 years. Charles proudly served in the Navy and was a member of the Vintage Auto Club of N.J.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Kim L. Ferrara, in 2010. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Nanette (DiGiulio) Ferrara; three daughters, Michelle Novak and her husband Jack, Jodie Ferrara and Catherine Ferrara; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan Parker, Jessica Doty, Shelly Pitchford, Johnny Novak, Corrie Novak, Kyle Kauffman and Robbie Kauffman.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center in Charles' memory.
