Constance Nocera

Connie was born on November 1, 1942 in Englewood, NJ to the late William and Rita Schaefer.

She and her husband resided in Toms River for the past 45 years.

After raising her 2 children she worked various jobs over the years including house cleaning services, Cosmair Inc., and the Old Country Buffet.

She loved animals, bird watching, walking, traveling to the islands, puzzles and games with her grandson and spending time with her family.

She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert "Bob" E. Nocera; her son Robert P. Nocera; daughter Robin Herman, son-in-law Michael Herman; and cherished grandson Brett Herman.

She was dear sister of William Schaefer, sister-in-law to Terry and Mandy Vittorio and Jo Ann Giamanco.

Connie also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

She was generous in everything she did and will be missed beyond measure.

The family is very grateful to the doctors who treated, cared and supported Connie in her battle with cancer especially Dr. Christopher Gannon, Dr. Anil Ponnambalam and staff, and the Visiting Nurse Association.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00am at St Joseph RC Church, Toms River, with interment following at Ocean County Memorial Park.
